

William Michals made his
Broadway debut as "The Beast" in Disney’s
Beauty and the Beast,
playing across from Deborah Gibson, Toni Braxton, and Andrea McArdle - then
returned to play the boastful Gaston! He has starred in
Les Misérables
(Javert), Phantom (The Phantom),
The Music Man
(Harold Hill),
Man of La Mancha
(Don Quixote),
CHICAGO
(Billy Flynn),
The Sound of Music
(Captain von Trapp), and
Camelot
(Lancelot), as well as numerous operatic roles, including Escamillo in
Carmen, Figaro in
Le nozze di Figaro,
and Papageno in
Die Zauberflöte.
Mr. Michals regularly appears with the country’s leading orchestras, recently
celebrating the Richard Rodgers centennial with the San Diego, Utah, and
Hartford Symphonies. A recipient of the prestigious 2002 Anselmo Award, he also
earned recognition from Chicago’s "Jeff" and the National "STAR" Awards for his
performance as Chauvelin in
The Scarlet Pimpernel.

Light". Mr.
Michals has sung national anthem for numerous major league sporting events, and
performed for the joint leadership of the House and Senate at the Capitol. His
voice was broadcast around the world when he was invited by Mayor Rudy Giuliani
to sing "Let There Be Peace On Earth" early in the morning of December 11, 2001,
at Ground Zero, NYC.
Mr. Michals has a BA from Boston
University.
